Activities

The church's Spiritual Growth and Nurture team provides many varied activities. These can usually be found on the church calendar.

Typically these activities range from potluck dinners to craft sessions to special outings. You just never know what's coming next!!!!

A recent outing to "Buckeye Blooms" in Gomer yielded these blooming beauties. Oh yeah--the flowers look great, too. Our participants were able to pick their own flowers and create their own arrangements with help from the proprietors of Buckeye Blooms. Looks like everyone was a winner!

Congrats to our wonderful bloomers! (And no, we're not discussing clothing!)

Snow Bike

Another recent outing to a bicycle museum revealed this interesting snow bike. Notice the ski where the front wheel would have been....and stay away from the spikes onthe rear wheel. Spikes.....yikes!

Exercise Bike?

This bike certainly provided quite a workout for any rider back in the day.

Church Choir--Talent is NOT required for this group, just a will to contribute to the worship service. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evening at 7 pm from Labor Day through Pentecost. The picture below was taken Easter Sunday (April 4), 2010. We had a great time preparing for some great music. The choir rehearses nearly every Wednesday between Labor Day and Pentecost at 7 pm. Come and join in the fun!

Lenten Dinner Series

During the 2010 and 2011 Lenten Seasons, we had a series of light meals or snacks following three of the Sunday worship services. These were in a "throwdown" format--meaning we all voted for the best entry in each category. While there was a winner announced in each category, all of us ended up being winners as we had time to enjoy the cooking talents and the fellowship of being together. No one ever seemed to be in a hurry to leave, either! Who know what Lent 2012 will bring!

50-year members

Once again, we honored our 50-year members in September 2009. A photograph of this special group is displayed in Fellowship Hall.

Men's Breakfast--Men of the church meet informally five times a year for breakfast. Sometimes they cook themselves; however, they have recently decided to try getting together at Henry's Restaurant. While donuts warm from the bakery (and still in the box) are standard menu items, you'll enjoy the variety and high quality of foods provided--whether cooked at church or at a restaurant. Breakfasts are held on the second Saturday of September, November, January, March and May.
